Authored by president, Greensboro Female College, Greensboro, North Carolina, and dedicated to the seven pupils who made up the graduating class of 1852 (Lucy E. Biggs, Fannie M. Bishop, Catherine S. Blake, Mary E. Clement, Susan E. Salterfield, Annie J. Slade, Nannie T. Speed). Now co-ed, known as Greensboro College, affiliated with United Methodists. ; Cloth chipped at extremities. Front endpaper has name and ownership statement in fountain pen dated 1924. Also on front endpaper are two small areas of discoloration, possibly from removed bookplate. Light foxing here and there. Binding tight. Quite scarce.
